Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Full‑time)

About the role

The school in Slough is looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the team for the full academic year, September 2026 to July 2027. Working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, the assistant will provide classroom support, small‑group interventions and targeted help for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom environment.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce literacy and numeracy.
• Deliver tailored interventions for pupils with additional learning needs.
• Encourage pupil engagement and participation during lessons.
• Assist teachers with classroom organisation and learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and inclusive practices.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience supporting children in a classroom or SEN environment.
• Strong literacy and numeracy foundations.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Reliable, proactive and capable of using initiative.
• Willingness to work across different year groups as needed.
