About the role
We are seeking a passionate Learning Support Mentor to join our growing team in Manchester. You will help young learners build confidence, develop essential life and employability skills, and achieve personal growth through tailored academic and personal development sessions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group mentoring for up to 30 hours per week in a community setting.
- Deliver core academic subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- Facilitate engaging sessions on personal development, employability and student‑chosen interests.
- Develop students' social, vocational and life skills through interactive activities.
- Motivate students, building confidence and resilience.
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student engagement, progress and challenges.
- Participate in half‑termly training and CPD, adhering to safeguarding standards.
Required profile
- Full UK driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle for work purposes.
- Level 2 qualifications (or above) in English and Mathematics (e.g., GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent).
- Empathetic, patient and motivational attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for creating opportunities and supporting young people.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.

- Salary range £23,000 – £27,000 per year (pro‑rated).
