About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering to join our Ellesmere Port Campus. The role involves delivering high‑quality engineering courses, supporting learners in both college and workplace settings, and contributing to a vibrant learning community.
Key responsibilities
- Teach a range of Mechanical and Electrical engineering modules to undergraduate and vocational learners.
- Assess learner performance against nationally recognised frameworks and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Assessor qualification (TAQA/A1) or commitment to obtain it.
- Verifier award or commitment to obtain it.
- Significant experience in the engineering industry, including hands‑on CNC work.
- Teacher training (PGCE, DTLLS, CertEd) or willingness to work towards qualification.
- Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in an educational setting.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
Required skills
- CNC operation and programming.
