Legal Advisor – Property Sales (Hybrid)

About the role

SNG is seeking a Legal Advisor to join its In‑House Legal team in Basingstoke. The role is hybrid, with two days a week in the office and the remainder remote, and requires occasional travel to other sites.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and issue contracts, leases, transfers and shared‑ownership leases.
• Respond to queries from buyers' solicitors and estate agents to progress sales.
• Gather and relay sales updates to the Sales teams.
• Verify mortgages against SNG’s internal rules.
• Review plans for compliance with Land Registry guidelines.
• Assess files for readiness to exchange and advise next steps.
• Support senior legal staff and the wider Legal team on ad‑hoc tasks.
• Perform office‑based duties related to property sales, projects and administration.

Required profile

• Proven conveyancing or property‑sales experience, managing a full caseload.
• Law degree, Graduate Diploma in Law, SQE studies or CILEX‑level qualification.
• Background in a law firm, in‑house department, housing association or local council.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good academic record and solid IT competence.
