Legal Business Partner – Procurement (Interim)

About the role

This interim position supports a leading public‑sector organisation delivering large‑scale procurement services. Working remotely or from offices across London, the Midlands and the North‑West, you will provide strategic legal advice that directly influences essential public services.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior stakeholders on procurement strategy, contract structures and contract management.
• Lead complex legal matters, delivering clear, commercially‑focused and risk‑aware guidance.
• Embed legal considerations across commercial activities to ensure compliant procurement processes.
• Manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align legal advice with business priorities.

Required profile

• Strong experience in procurement law, preferably within the public sector or a regulated commercial environment.
• Proven ability to lead on complex legal issues and provide well‑reasoned advice for high‑impact decisions.
• Confidence operating in a fast‑paced setting, managing competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proactive, commercial and solution‑focused approach.
