Legal Counsel – Asset Management (London)

About the role

We are seeking a junior‑mid level Legal Counsel to join a leading global asset management firm’s London legal team. The role focuses on Investment Management Agreements (IMAs) and a broad range of commercial contracts, supporting a multi‑jurisdictional business.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate Investment Management Agreements, including complex and bespoke arrangements.
• Prepare and manage other contractual documentation such as investment advisory agreements, terms of reference for investment committees, IT contracts and marketing agreements.
• Support ad‑hoc legal projects across the business as required.
• Collaborate closely with legal colleagues in Paris, Hong Kong and the United States on multi‑jurisdictional matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience, preferably within asset management, financial services or a law firm.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across a large, diverse, international organisation.
• Detail‑oriented, highly organised and capable of managing own workload independently.
• Business‑focused mindset, strong work ethic and sensitivity to multicultural business environments.
