Legal Counsel (Commercial Contracts)

About the role

Taptap is seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to own and accelerate its contract function. You will work at the intersection of law and business, shaping agreements that enable rapid growth across payout, banking, and partnership ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements with partners, vendors, and customers.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a contract playbook, including standard positions, fallback clauses, and escalation triggers.
• Deploy AI‑assisted contract workflows, evaluate their performance, and ensure quality against human review.
• Advise senior leadership on high‑impact commercial decisions such as major partnerships, market expansions, and new product launches.
• Manage external counsel selectively, monitoring quality, turnaround time, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, finance, operations, compliance, and leadership to embed legal considerations into business processes.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with strong commercial acumen and experience handling high‑volume contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Excellent judgment in balancing risk and growth objectives.
