Legal Counsel – Corporate & Commercial Law

About the role

Puma Capital Group is seeking a motivated Legal Counsel to join its Group Legal team in London. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters in a fast‑moving entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the General Counsel on ad‑hoc Group projects, including equity ownership structures, major M&A and investment transactions, and litigation oversight.
• Manage external specialist advisers, oversee project workstreams, and ensure legal compliance throughout transactions.
• Review, negotiate and maintain commercial contracts across technology, IT services and other supplier agreements, tracking renewal provisions and key terms.
• Maintain accurate company books for all Group legal entities.
• Attend board meetings, provide legal guidance to boards and take minutes where required.
• Advise on legal aspects of existing and new retail investment products, collaborating with external counsel as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) from a leading law firm.
• Strong transactional and advisory background in corporate and commercial law.
• Self‑motivated, resourceful team player with excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• In‑house experience is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills
