Legal Counsel (eCommerce - Product)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified lawyer to join TikTok’s Global eCommerce Legal Business Partner team in London. The role will support the company’s expanding eCommerce operations across the UK and EU, focusing on compliance with the Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, GDPR and related legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal contact for UK and EU business units, working closely with product, engineering and commercial teams.
• Collaborate with regulatory, privacy, IP and competition lawyers to provide unified legal advice.
• Review product features, algorithms and data‑usage initiatives for compliance with EU and national laws.
• Partner with public policy teams to identify and mitigate legal risks of high‑impact projects.
• Maintain and localise online terms and conditions for EU markets.
• Improve legal processes, templates and internal training to increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Mid‑level lawyer qualified in France, Italy, Poland or Spain.
• Strong experience with EU legislation and national laws, especially in consumer protection, privacy, antitrust or IP.
• Proven drafting and negotiation skills in retail, digital content or advertising agreements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex legal issues into clear guidance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.
