Legal Counsel – Energy Management Services

About the role

DCC Energy GB is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join its Energy Management Services (EMS) team across Great Britain. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will provide practical, commercially‑focused legal advice to support a diverse portfolio of energy solutions, including solar, heat pumps, HVAC, and energy efficiency projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal support for EMS businesses.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements.
• Advise on customer, supplier, consultancy, installation, maintenance and service contracts.
• Support renewable energy, solar, heat‑pump and HVAC projects.
• Assist with legal risk management, compliance and governance matters.
• Collaborate with operational, commercial and leadership teams to find practical legal solutions.
• Manage disputes and liaise with external counsel when required.
• Contribute to corporate, property, acquisition and integration projects.
• Develop and improve legal templates and guidance materials.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a commercial mindset.
• Experience advising on commercial contracts in a business‑facing role.
• Background in private practice, in‑house legal teams, or a mix of both.
• Familiarity with regulated sectors such as energy, infrastructure, construction, utilities or consumables.
