Legal Counsel

About the role

Clinigen, a global specialty pharmaceutical services company, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its global legal team based in Weybridge, working hybrid from the Burton office. The role supports the business strategy by delivering high‑quality, commercially‑focused legal advice across the company's worldwide operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, commercially‑focused legal support aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws across all jurisdictions where Clinigen operates.
• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements with suppliers and customers.
• Lead commercial contracting matters for one or more business units, managing negotiations from start to finish.
• Handle diverse legal matters including commercial contracts, data protection and privacy, dispute resolution, and intellectual property.
• Operate autonomously, driving contract negotiations to successful completion.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and the Legal Team’s best‑in‑class service approach.

Required profile

• Law degree (essential).
• Knowledge of English law or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Business‑level fluency in written and spoken English.
• Self‑motivated, well‑organized, proactive and detail‑oriented.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with senior leadership.
