Legal Counsel

About the role

Juro is building an AI‑driven operating system for contracts and needs a Legal Counsel to own the commercial contract system. You will negotiate high‑impact deals, improve templates and AI triage, and ensure that most agreements close without a lawyer’s direct involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate and close commercial contracts that require legal judgement, acting with decision‑making authority.
• Refine contract templates, playbooks and AI review processes to reduce lawyer involvement.
• Supervise AI‑generated contract reviews and intervene when recurring issues arise.
• Manage the full spectrum of legal work for a scaling AI business, including vendor agreements, data‑protection, compliance, marketing claims and occasional disputes.
• Collaborate with the General Counsel and other stakeholders to continuously improve legal systems and thresholds.

Required profile

• Located in the UK with long‑term working rights.
• 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial contract work.
• Proven ability to negotiate directly with external parties and make accountable decisions.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, AI‑first environment.

Required skills

• Commercial contract negotiation and drafting.
• Experience with legal tech and AI‑assisted review tools.
• Strong analytical judgement for complex legal scenarios.
