Legal Counsel (Junior‑Mid Level)

About the role

Moneybox is seeking a proactive junior‑mid level Legal Counsel to join its growing legal function. You will work closely with product, commercial and compliance teams, gaining exposure to a wide range of legal matters as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements, including SaaS, AI, IT supplier contracts, banking partnerships and marketing collaborations.
• Support the rollout of new products, processes and promotions by partnering with internal stakeholders.
• Provide data‑protection advice, draft controller/processor terms and privacy notices.
• Collaborate with the Compliance team on regulatory queries and update customer‑facing terms.
• Drive legal‑tech initiatives such as AI‑assisted contract review and contract lifecycle management enhancements.
• Offer guidance on IP, employment, property, and litigation matters as needed.
• Deliver training and education on legal topics across the business.
• Manage relationships with external legal advisors.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably trained at a city law firm.
• Strong commercial focus with proven experience drafting and negotiating IT‑related agreements.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work autonomously.
• Experience in a start‑up or scale‑up environment is a plus.
