Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing renewable energy organisation delivering Battery Energy Storage Systems and wind projects. As a Legal Counsel you will provide pragmatic, commercial‑focused legal support across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate EPC agreements, Power Purchase Agreements and Operations & Maintenance contracts.
• Support renewable energy projects from development through to operation.
• Provide clear, solution‑oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and manage legal risk while enabling business objectives.
• Work cross‑functionally in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
• Assist the wider legal function as the business scales.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent).
• 2–8 years of experience in‑house or private practice.
• Strong background in renewable energy, preferably with exposure to BESS or wind projects.
• Experience with EPC contracts, PPAs and O&M agreements.
• Commercially minded with the ability to balance risk and business priorities.
• Adaptable, proactive and comfortable in a fast‑moving setting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
