Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy Startup

About the role

Fuse Energy is building a fully integrated renewable energy company and needs a Legal Counsel to support its rapid expansion across multiple jurisdictions. You will work closely with Operations, Finance, Trading and Product teams, translating legal and regulatory requirements into practical guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, product order forms and supplier/customer agreements.
• Identify risks early and propose business‑friendly solutions.
• Research regulatory requirements and embed them into product specifications.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to cross‑functional teams, turning complex issues into clear decisions.
• Support UK and cross‑border compliance, coordinate filings and maintain inspection‑ready policies and registers.
• Create and refine contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks and automate routine workflows.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common‑law jurisdiction).
• 4‑7 years post‑qualification experience, ideally split between law‑firm and in‑house roles.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while juggling multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong enthusiasm for renewable energy and decentralisation.
