Legal Counsel – Southern Europe (French)

About the role

Dexcom is seeking a French‑speaking Legal Counsel to support its Southern Europe operations, including France, Spain and Italy. Reporting to the Senior Director Legal EMEA, the role will be based in Barcelona and act as the primary legal partner for the commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line legal support to the French commercial team on contracts, business development and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements such as distribution, rebate, master services, sponsorship, service agreements, NDAs and statements of work.
• Ensure contractual alignment with public administration, health insurers and other stakeholders.
• Advise on French and EU healthcare and medical‑device regulations, including reimbursement, public procurement, digital health, competition, anti‑money‑laundering and international trade compliance.
• Negotiate and manage agreements with healthcare professionals, organisations, insurers and patient groups, ensuring compliance with transparency and fair‑market‑value rules.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience in healthcare, medical‑device or related regulatory environments.
• In‑depth knowledge of French and EU laws governing reimbursement, public procurement, digital health, competition and AML.
• Fluent in French and English, with strong commercial awareness and ability to work across borders.

Required skills

• Legal drafting and contract negotiation.
• Expertise in French and EU healthcare/medical‑device legislation.
• Understanding of compliance requirements for transparency, fair market value and anti‑kickback rules.
