Legal Executive / Paralegal – Inquests & Personal Injury

About the role

This position is responsible for managing a caseload of inquests and personal injury claims, including Employer’s Liability, Public Liability and clinical negligence matters. You will support the Director of Legal Services, Deputy Head of Legal Services and Senior Solicitor with day‑to‑day administration, investigations and other legal tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and progress inquests and personal injury claims from intake to resolution.
• Conduct investigations and gather evidence for clinical negligence, employer and public liability cases.
• Provide administrative support to senior legal staff, ensuring accurate documentation and timely filing.
• Liaise with health professionals, legal practitioners and external parties to facilitate case progress.
• Prepare written presentations and reports as required for internal review.

Required profile

• Law degree with a postgraduate qualification (LPC or BPTC).
• Previous experience as a Paralegal, preferably handling clinical negligence or personal injury claims.
• Experience working with NHS or NHS clients is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills to interact confidently with health and legal professionals.

Required skills

• Knowledge of employer’s liability, public liability and clinical negligence law.
• Familiarity with inquest procedures and claim management processes.
