Lift Tester Trainee – Structured Development Programme

About the role

Orona Limited is offering a structured development programme for an ambitious lift engineer to become a fully qualified Lift Tester. Based in Sunbury-on-Thames, you will receive NVQ Level 4 training, hands‑on mentoring and technical instruction to progress your lift engineering career.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑tests on new installations and modernisations, compiling snag lists for engineers and trades.
• Adjust and test lifts on‑site to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and lift regulations.
• Support the completion of test sheets and related client and company documentation.
• Apply technical knowledge of lift control systems and electrical systems during testing.
• Assist other departments as required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 qualified Lift Engineer.
• Ambitious, safety‑driven and eager to develop technical expertise.
• Based in or willing to work in Sunbury‑on‑Thames.

Required skills

• Understanding of lift control systems.
• Electrical knowledge relevant to lift testing.
