Line Maintenance Manager – MFTS (H135/H145)

About the role

The MFTS Line Maintenance Manager will lead all line‑maintenance activities for the H135 and H145 fleet at RAF Shawbury. Reporting to the MFTS MRO Maintenance Manager, you will ensure compliance with UK CAA Part‑145, MRP‑145 and Airbus Helicopters UK policies while maintaining the highest safety and availability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee scheduled and unscheduled line‑maintenance, including modifications, for the H135/H145 fleet.
• Ensure compliance with UK CAA Part‑145, MRP‑145 regulations and internal safety standards.
• Assist the MRO Maintenance Manager in investigating and rectifying non‑conformities and safety occurrences.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with planning and operations to achieve >98% aircraft availability.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of technicians and licensed engineers.
• Monitor progress, report status and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans to reduce delays and improve availability.
• Work with support departments to secure parts, tools and equipment for planned activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Required profile

• Eligible for Security Clearance (SC) in the United Kingdom.
• Proven experience managing line‑maintenance teams in a regulated aviation environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK CAA Part‑145 and MRP‑145 requirements.
• Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise aircraft downtime.
