Linen Porter

About the role

The Hoxton, Holborn, a Grade II-listed former telephone exchange now housing 220 bedrooms and the restaurant Rondo, is looking for a Linen Porter. You will keep guest rooms and guest floors clean and tidy, deliver and collect linen daily and help the housekeeping team.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms to brand standards, keeping them well presented and maintained
• Report maintenance defects in guest rooms and on guest floors through KnowCross
• Ensure guest rooms meet brand standards and quality audit standards
• Oversee the daily delivery and collection of linen and terry
• Stock linen and housekeeping supplies on guest floors and in stores, keeping storage areas clean
• Keep guest floors clean and well maintained
• Assist with other housekeeping tasks as required
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are followed and report breaches to the Head Housekeeper
• Handle cleaning materials correctly and follow COSHH regulations
• Attend all required training and provide friendly, responsive customer care

Required profile

• Communication skills for smooth teamwork and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers
• A keen eye for detail and a go-and-do attitude
