Linux & Network Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a Linux & Network Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure team at an established technology company near South Cambridge. You will play a key role in maintaining and developing critical server and network infrastructure in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and manage server racks, internal networks, power distribution and cabling.
• Install and configure customer equipment.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and physical inventory using Git.
• Troubleshoot Linux systems, networking issues and test automation environments.
• Deploy and maintain core infrastructure components such as switches, PDUs and UPS systems.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Linux systems administration.
• Solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, routing, link aggregation and troubleshooting.
• Experience managing pfSense firewalls.
• Understanding of rack installation best practices, cabling, power distribution and equipment placement.
• Hands‑on attitude with strong problem‑solving skills.
