Loan Agency Lead Analyst – Vice President

About the role

This senior position is a subject‑matter expert for loan agency products, responsible for managing a portfolio of complex, structured syndicated credit facilities. The role supports internal and external partners, ensures correct execution of Facility Agent obligations, and mentors junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Engage senior stakeholders and business heads to discuss new deal flows and attend front‑office pipeline meetings.
• Liaise with arrangers, lawyers and originating teams to review and negotiate complex loan and credit documentation from an operational, legal and agent perspective.
• Provide comments, amendment requests and feedback on draft documentation.
• Serve as escalation point for team members needing assistance.
• Review and negotiate the most complex facility documentation, creating templates for future similar deals.
• Attend front‑office calls to clarify Agent responsibilities for each transaction.
• Manage waiver, amendment, restructuring requests and potential Events of Default.
• Lead negotiations on behalf of the syndicate and coordinate event‑driven calls with lenders and lawyers.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues, share knowledge and guide the agency operations team on onboarding and loan booking.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in syndicated loan documentation and Facility Agent roles.
• Strong understanding of legal, regulatory and operational aspects of complex credit facilities.
• Proven ability to work with senior business stakeholders and external advisers.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
