Local Authority Housing – Neighbourhoods & Communities Manager (West London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Local Authority Housing Neighbourhoods and Communities Manager to lead a team delivering tenancy and community services to around 2,000 residents in West London. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on operational delivery to ensure safe, sustainable neighbourhoods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a newly formed team of neighbourhoods and communities officers and a coordinator.
• Deliver first‑rate tenancy and neighbourhood management services, overseeing fire safety, anti‑social behaviour and estate management.
• Ensure compliance with Housing Regulator standards and work towards achieving a C1 rating.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership, shaping service delivery, policy and innovation.
• Drive service modernisation, performance improvement and change management.
• Act as subject‑matter expert, supporting residents to live in safe and sustainable communities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar role within a Local Authority or public‑sector housing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing performance, delivering change and improving service quality.
• Commitment to resident‑focused service and community improvement.
