Locum Planning Lawyer – Full‑Time Remote – Up to £65/hr

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Locum Planning Lawyer to provide specialist legal support to a local authority on a full‑time remote basis. The role is contracted through an umbrella company at a rate of up to £65 per hour and is expected to run for an initial three‑month period with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of planning law matters on behalf of the council.
• Draft, review and negotiate Section 106 agreements in line with planning legislation and policy.
• Provide timely, pragmatic legal advice to planning officers and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive.
• Proven experience practising planning law within a local authority environment.
• Strong track record of drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements.
• Ability to work independently and handle a diverse caseload.
