Logistics and Operations Lead

About the role
We are seeking a Logistics and Operations Lead to shape N2O’s end‑to‑end warehousing and logistics strategy across multiple sites and partners. Based in Maidenhead, the role will drive safe, compliant, high‑performing delivery while supporting business growth through technology and process optimisation.
Key responsibilities
- Define and own N2O’s warehousing and logistics strategy and target operating model aligned with growth plans.
- Lead multi‑site operations and strategic partners (3PLs, transport, specialist suppliers) with clear SLAs and performance improvement plans.
- Own logistics and warehousing budget, forecasting and resource planning; identify cost‑to‑serve optimisation and productivity gains.
- Sponsor transformation initiatives including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), BI reporting, process redesign, automation and network reconfiguration.
- Set inventory management and stock integrity framework, ensuring accurate records and effective cycle‑counting.
- Collaborate with Campaign Management, Client Development and Field Support to translate demand forecasts into capacity and delivery models.
- Work closely with Health & Safety and Field Operations to maintain the highest safety standards.
- Manage compliance and risk for logistics operations (health & safety, security, customs, supplier compliance, audit readiness).
- Develop and lead a high‑performing logistics leadership team, fostering continuous improvement.
- Define and drive sustainability priorities such as waste reduction, transport efficiency and responsible sourcing.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience running multi‑site logistics or supply chain operations.
- Track record of delivering cost optimisation, productivity improvements and successful transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and resource planning for logistics functions.
- Commitment to health & safety, compliance and sustainability objectives.
