Logistics Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a specialist import and export provider near Haywards Heath, is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily logistics operations. You will ensure shipments are processed efficiently, documentation is accurate, and customer expectations are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day logistics activities, handling shipments, paperwork and customer requirements.
• Manage a portfolio of customer and supplier accounts, building strong relationships.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams to guarantee smooth delivery.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation in line with international trade regulations.
• Monitor shipments, resolve issues, and keep customers informed throughout the journey.
• Support the wider logistics team with operational tasks and workflow improvements.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and suggest efficiency enhancements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in logistics, operations or international trade.
• Good understanding of sea freight processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
