Logistics Coordinator – Outbound Logistics

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator will manage outbound logistics for BASF Pharma Callanish Ltd, ensuring that customer orders are processed and delivered on time while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate outgoing logistics, liaising with internal teams, transport providers and customers to meet delivery schedules.
• Manage end‑to‑end order processing in SAP, including order entry, shipment preparation, invoicing and credit/debit note creation.
• Book and monitor outbound transportation, resolving any issues that arise.
• Prepare and submit all required customs and UK government documentation for international shipments.
• Maintain accurate SAP transactions, quality‑management records and customs clearance paperwork.
• Collaborate with the UK Exports team on tax‑saving and customs procedures.
• Investigate and resolve logistical non‑conformities together with the Quality Assurance department.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in logistics or supply chain.
• Solid understanding of logistics processes with prior supply‑chain or logistics experience.
• Experience in cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing is desirable.
• Familiarity with stock‑control systems and warehouse operations is a plus.
• Strong IT aptitude; SAP knowledge is a significant advantage.
• Service‑oriented, collaborative, able to make decisions under pressure and eager to learn.
