Logistics Operations Coordinator – St Albans

About the role

This position is for a Logistics Operations Coordinator based in St Albans, supporting an established logistics company with international freight movements. The role offers a dynamic environment where you will manage cargo flows across Europe and the UK while delivering high‑level customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Organise movement of cargo across Europe and the UK.
• Communicate complex instructions accurately to customers and suppliers.
• Provide the highest standards of customer service.
• Plan and communicate routes to the driver fleet, minimising off‑route mileage.
• Monitor drivers’ duty and driving time to ensure compliance.
• Process customer orders using the in‑house operating system with strong attention to detail.
• Compile customs documentation for shipments into Europe.
• Build strong client relationships through verbal engagement.
• Quote transport rates to secure orders.
• Coordinate with internal departments to follow procedures correctly.
• Allocate trucks, drivers and trailers to meet client demand.

What we offer

• Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience.
• Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:30 (one Saturday per month 08:30‑11:00).
• Office‑based role – no hybrid working.
