Logistics Operative – Transit Terminal

About the role

Join DACHSER’s Transit Terminal team in Rochdale as a Logistics Operative. You will support the efficient movement of freight, ensuring that loading and unloading processes meet strict customer and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Move freight efficiently within the transit terminal.
• Load and unload shipments using appropriate Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Report any damage promptly following established procedures.
• Follow health and safety protocols and safe systems of work.
• Use scanners, computers and other IT equipment to record activities.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
• Meet scheduled loading and unloading deadlines.

Required profile

• Experience handling heavy or high‑value goods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.

Required skills

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation.
• Proficiency with basic IT equipment such as scanners and computers.
