M&A Tax Manager – Transaction Tax Team (Hybrid, London)

About the role

Our client is seeking a commercially‑minded M&A Tax Manager to join its Transaction Tax team in London. The role will involve leading tax work on domestic and cross‑border M&A transactions for private equity funds, corporates and other investors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead transaction tax workstreams from due diligence through to completion.
• Prepare and review tax due diligence reports and advise on transaction structures.
• Review legal documentation such as SPAs, warranties and tax covenants.
• Collaborate with internal deal teams, external legal advisers and clients.
• Manage international tax teams on cross‑border deals and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional (ATT, ACCA, ACA, CTA or equivalent).
• Minimum three years’ experience on M&A transactions.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK tax legislation.
• Experience with M&A tax due diligence and transaction structuring.
• Ability to review and interpret legal documents (SPAs, warranties, tax covenants).
