About the role
Our client, a busy engineering business in Swindon, is looking for a reliable Machine Operative. The position starts as a temporary role with the potential to become permanent, working Monday‑Thursday from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Key responsibilities
- Work to specific production targets and deadlines.
- Operate a variety of machines safely and efficiently.
- Report any faults or issues promptly.
- Take parts and place them into the correct stillage.
- Carry out quality checks on finished components.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the production team.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a similar machine‑operating role.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Capability to read and understand technical instructions.
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a team.
- Reliability and ability to meet deadlines.
