Machine Operator – Textile Production

About the role
We are seeking a Machine Operator to join a well‑established textile manufacturing client that produces high‑quality headwear. The position is based in Calder Vale and offers full training, allowing you to develop a range of production skills within the weaving department.
Key responsibilities
- Operate weaving machinery safely and efficiently.
- Assist with yarn preparation to meet production standards.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels.
- Carry out initial product inspections and regular quality checks.
- Report any non‑conformances through the correct channels.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Required profile
- Manual dexterity and ability to stand for long periods.
- Capability to lift moderate loads as required.
- Own transport is essential due to the remote location.
- Willingness to work rotating continental shifts after training.

What we offer
- Full training with hourly rates increasing as skills develop.
- Initial day‑shift training (Mon‑Thu 7:30‑16:30, Fri 7:30‑12:30) followed by a 3‑days‑on/3‑days‑off continental shift pattern.
- Competitive hourly wage of £12.71‑£14.53.
