Maintenance Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Assistant to keep our holiday park in Clacton‑on‑Sea safe, tidy and welcoming. You will carry out a mix of general repairs, groundskeeping and landscaping tasks, ensuring guests enjoy well‑maintained facilities and outdoor spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and handyman duties such as painting, fencing, minor repairs and equipment servicing.
• Maintain lawns, gardens and park areas by mowing, trimming, hedge and tree pruning, weeding and planting.
• Keep outdoor spaces clean by litter picking, jet washing, pothole repairs and ensuring bin bays are tidy.
• Safely replace gas bottles and manage bin bay cleanliness.
• Use the job management system to log, schedule and track repair jobs and fleet maintenance.
• Assist with pitch tidying, moving and siting of holiday homes and respond to guest enquiries promptly.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance, including garden work and basic repairs.
• Physical ability to lift, bend and stand for long periods and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays as needed.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Ability to operate a range of hand tools and power tools safely.
