Maintenance Engineer (Landfill Gas Equipment)

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a leading waste‑management organisation that converts landfill gas into renewable electricity. Based in Bristol, you will work on gas collection systems and power‑generation engines across several sites, receiving full training and the chance to progress into management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and balance gas collection analysers, download and interpret data.
• Perform maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on gas collection equipment.
• Maintain and service power‑generation engines and associated mechanical components.
• Respond to 24‑hour emergency call‑outs (approximately one per six weeks).
• Travel occasionally to sites in South‑East England and South Wales.

Required profile

• Proven experience working on engines and mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to expand technical knowledge in the energy sector.
• Able to commute to Bristol and travel when required.
• Motivated to develop towards future management roles.
