Maintenance Engineer – Manufacturing Plant

About the role

The Maintenance Engineer will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment in a food manufacturing environment. Working within a cross‑functional team, you will deliver planned and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot faults and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset and complete required risk assessments and documentation.
• Promote a strong safety culture aligned with QSHE standards and company policies.
• Assist in creating SOPs and drive continuous improvement in the assigned area.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance and external suppliers to resolve plant issues promptly.
• Identify and prioritize engineering improvement opportunities, giving breakdowns top priority.
• Engage with OEMs and suppliers for technical assistance when needed.
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance according to schedule.
• Diagnose faults and maintain mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Report equipment defects and update SAP CMMS and other systems in line with policies.
• Contribute to KAMS excellence and maintain 5S standards across workshops and stores.

Required profile

• Relevant electrical or mechanical trade qualification, diploma or degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food industry.
• Strong troubleshooting capability.
• Knowledge of maintenance best practices and CMMS systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
