Maintenance Supervisor – Urbane at Alewife

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the technical and mechanical upkeep of the Urbane at Alewife community in Cambridge, MA. The role ensures that interiors, exteriors, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality. The supervisor will lead a small maintenance team, ensuring timely completion of tasks and fostering a safe environment for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders, diagnosing defects and performing repairs in line with company policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Manage the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, conducting pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, and coordinating vendors and contractors as needed.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems and common‑area equipment to sustain optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Schedule and supervise external contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and completed work.
