Male Waking Night Support Worker (1:1)

About the role

Glenholme Specialist Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Male Waking Night Support Worker to provide 1:1 care for a young man with complex learning disabilities at Warwick Manor, Bedford. This fully waking night position runs from 21:30 to 07:30 and involves active support throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 support during the night, monitoring wellbeing and responding to challenging behaviours.
• Assist with personal care as needed and support morning routines, including preparation for college.
• Maintain accurate care records and share relevant information with the wider team.
• Promote dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing for the individual.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
• Calm, resilient, observant, proactive and confident in managing complex needs.
• Ability to work night shifts and live within a 10‑mile radius of Bedford.

• Hourly rate £12.75 – £12.95, increasing with Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2.
