Management Accountant – Construction & Renewables

About the role

This Management Accountant position sits at the heart of a growing construction and renewables business. You will work directly with the directors, influencing financial decisions across multiple entities while enjoying a supportive, close‑knit team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and improve internal processes and controls, driving efficiencies and automation within Xero.
• Manage accounts for three entities, including a holding company.
• Handle work‑in‑progress, CIS, and job costing.
• Produce management accounts, profit and loss statements, and cash‑flow forecasts for the directors.
• Maintain ledgers, process invoices and perform bank reconciliations (low volume, high value).
• Oversee payroll with the potential to bring it in‑house.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Management Accountant or Finance Manager, preferably in an SME environment.
• Confidence to suggest and implement new ideas.
• Proven track record of improving processes, controls and policies.

Required skills

• Xero (or similar accounting software).
