Management Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

We are looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance team in our Belfast office. The role will focus on supporting the US entity while providing accounting services across our international network.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts for the US and other offices, including P&L and balance sheet.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and highlight unreconciled items.
• Post journals, review costs and ensure balances are fully supported.
• Conduct monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare variance analysis versus budget and forecast and support P&L sign‑off.
• Assist the management team in budgeting and forecasting cycles with data‑driven assumptions.
• Maintain strong financial control in finance and forecasting systems, adhering to policies.
• Support statutory and group audit processes by preparing audit‑ready schedules.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and data quality.
• Communicate financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• Member of, or working towards membership of, a recognised accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of experience in professional services or a comparable environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet month‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with bank reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting and audit support.
