Management Accountant

About the role

UTAC is seeking a Part‑Qualified Management Accountant to join its Management Accounts team. You will play a key role in producing accurate financial reporting, supporting month‑end close, and acting as a finance business partner to operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own the calculation and preparation of accrued and deferred income, ensuring compliant revenue recognition.
• Prepare detailed month‑end commentary with financial analysis and variance explanations for senior stakeholders.
• Complete and review balance‑sheet reconciliations, maintaining integrity and control across key accounts.
• Support the production of monthly management accounts within strict reporting deadlines.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and year‑end reporting requirements.
• Serve as a primary contact during external audits, handling and resolving auditor queries.
• Provide financial insight and business‑partnering support to operational teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and strengthen controls.

Required profile

• Experience contributing to month‑end close processes within a management accounts environment.
• Proven ability to prepare accruals, pre‑payments, deferred income, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Strong technical capability with attention to detail.
• Confidence in engaging with auditors and senior colleagues.
