Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Management Accountant to join a fast‑growing business in London. This hands‑on position will produce accurate management accounts, provide financial insight to senior leaders, and help improve the company’s financial processes and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Deliver detailed variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecast.
• Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, collaborating with budget owners.
• Maintain and enhance financial controls, processes and procedures.
• Assist with year‑end audit, liaising with external auditors and preparing schedules.
• Produce ad‑hoc financial analysis to aid strategic decision‑making.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders, translating data into actionable insight.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred).
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar finance role, preferably in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and commercial acumen.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with non‑financial colleagues.
