Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join a growing investment management firm in London. You will deliver accurate, insightful financial information and support smooth financial operations across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounting reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review bank reconciliations, staff expenses, travel and credit card journals.
• Work with external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
• Prepare payroll journals, staff cost schedules, pension and share plan contribution schedules.
• Reconcile payroll deductions and maintain payroll‑related balance sheet ledgers.
• Review management accounts expense schedules and prepare quarterly VAT returns.
• Support statutory audits and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
• Provide proactive support to the wider Finance team.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• 1–2 years post‑qualification experience as a management or financial accountant, preferably within financial services.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence in prioritising tasks and taking ownership.
• Problem‑solving and inquisitive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to drive efficiency and operational improvements.
• Flexibility to support colleagues across the finance function.
