Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Management Accountant to lead operational finance for Lawton Tubes, the UK’s leading supplier of copper pipes, tubes and fittings. Based in Coventry, you will act as the financial anchor between procurement, logistics, sales and senior leadership, ensuring tight control of stock, margins, FX exposure and cash.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts with clear, actionable commentary.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning processes.
• Conduct margin analysis across products, customers and channels.
• Manage stock control, valuation and working‑capital performance.
• Model import landed costs including product, freight, duty and handling.
• Support pricing decisions in a price‑sensitive commodity market.
• Drive ERP accuracy, reporting and process discipline, including ERP implementation.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
• Commercially‑focused management accountant with strong inventory, margin and working‑capital expertise.
• Experience in a stock‑intensive, import‑oriented business (distribution or manufacturing).
• Background handling FX exposure and import‑led supply chains.
• Involvement in ERP implementation or major system change.
• Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills.
• Confident communicator and influencer, comfortable operating at the heart of the business.
• Resilient, detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑moving environment.
