Management Accountant – £55,000 + Bonus

About the role

Broadstone Resourcing is seeking a Management Accountant to join a fast‑growing property development business in Coulsdon, Surrey. This full‑time position offers a £55,000 salary plus bonus and excellent benefits, ideal for an ambitious ACCA or CIMA part‑qualified professional looking to expand commercial experience in a dynamic, project‑led environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow reports.
• Prepare commentary and variance analysis for senior management.
• Complete balance‑sheet reconciliations and post month‑end journals.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and short‑term cash‑flow planning.
• Monitor financial performance of individual development sites.
• Assist with year‑end accounts and coordinate information for external audit.
• Prepare VAT returns and manage VAT matters related to property transactions.
• Support CIS reporting and related compliance.
• Review transactional finance work performed by the Accounts Assistant.
• Maintain effective financial controls and identify process improvements.

Required profile

• ACCA or CIMA part‑qualified status, with qualification expected soon.
• Experience in management accounting, audit or financial reporting.
• Strong month‑end accounting and balance‑sheet reconciliation skills.
• Good understanding of VAT; exposure to CIS or construction accounting is a plus.
• Proactive, organised and able to manage deadlines independently.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to develop commercial expertise.
