Manager, Core Payments Strategy

About the role

Join Mastercard’s Strategy and Execution team as a Manager, Core Payments Strategy. You will help shape the future of core payment products, from traditional card solutions to emerging account‑to‑account and agentic payments, ensuring the company remains a leader in scale, security and innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Support high‑priority strategic projects by scoping problems, conducting complex analysis, and delivering actionable insights across Core Products.
• Develop strategy presentations and memos for C‑suite executives, product leads, and the Board of Directors.
• Monitor industry trends and the competitive landscape, producing insightful reports with cross‑functional teams.
• Generate growth ideas, evaluate potential acquisitions or investments aligned with Core team priorities.
• Periodically refine strategy to address emerging issues that could impact the business.
• Facilitate and influence business leaders to design and advance strategies that align with the Core roadmap.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree from a top‑tier program preferred.
• Knowledge of the payments or financial services industry is essential.
• Familiarity with Mastercard Core Products and broader product portfolio is a plus.
• Experience in strategy consulting at a leading firm or in an internal strategy unit.
