About the role
Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support to Original Equipment Manufacturers and lead core engineering activities that enhance our production processes. Based in Bristol, you will work on safety‑critical, high‑performance solutions while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety & Environmental standards and the Zero Harm programme.
- Maintain product safety by guaranteeing processes meet design specifications and resolve safety‑related issues.
- Drive a zero‑defect culture, enforce compliance with company, legislative and technical policies, and reduce Cost of Non‑Quality.
- Develop, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems, and methods of manufacture.
- Capture and analyse process data to demonstrate and enhance capability.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering Commodity Leaders and Process Owners to standardise best practices.
Required profile
- Professionally qualified engineer (minimum UK HND/foundation degree or equivalent).
- Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Systems Engineering.
- Relevant engineering accreditation (e.g., UK IEng or CEng) where available.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes and awareness of manufacturing systems and enabling software tools.
- Experience in a machining environment is preferred.
