Manufacturing Manager – £65k‑£75k + Bonus

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Manager to lead production at a large facility in Plymouth. This senior position offers the chance to shape manufacturing performance, drive continuous improvement, and progress towards an Operations Manager or Director role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day production and manufacturing operations across the site.
• Manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, embedding Lean manufacturing and operational excellence.
• Develop and monitor manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, quality, efficiency and delivery.
• Support implementation of world‑class manufacturing and TPM principles.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and support functions to boost performance.
• Develop and engage production teams, fostering a culture of empowerment and accountability.
• Ensure high standards of health, safety and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or senior manufacturing leader.
• Desire to progress towards a broader Operations Manager role.
• Strong people‑leadership and performance‑management capabilities.
