Marketing Assistant

About the role

We are partnering with an innovative tech company based in south Leeds that is seeking a Marketing Assistant to join their growing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this entry‑level position offers a solid foundation for recent graduates or apprenticeship completers to launch their marketing careers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with digital marketing activities across social media, email campaigns and website content.
• Create, edit and proofread a variety of marketing materials.
• Support the planning, execution and reporting of marketing campaigns.
• Update and maintain website content, including using a CMS such as WordPress.
• Help organise exhibitions, events and occasional travel for promotional activities.
• Administer day‑to‑day marketing tasks, including newsletter production and market research.
• Monitor performance metrics and conduct competitor analysis.

Required profile

• A degree, apprenticeship or recognised qualification in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Strong interest in digital communications and a willingness to learn.
• Excellent written communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience using WordPress or another content management system (desirable).
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (desirable).
• Basic knowledge of Google Analytics or similar reporting tools (desirable).
• Ability to create visual content using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (desirable).
