Marketplace Assistant

About the role

The Marketplace Assistant will support new sellers as they join our online marketplace, guiding them through onboarding, product setup and compliance checks. This entry‑level position offers exposure to e‑commerce operations and digital retail.

Key responsibilities

• Assist sellers with onboarding, system navigation and platform requirements.
• Conduct vetting and compliance checks to ensure legal and trading standards are met.
• Support product listing creation, content setup and launch readiness.
• Resolve technical, operational or account issues in collaboration with internal teams.
• Track onboarding progress, metrics and early‑stage seller performance.
• Prepare handovers to the account management team, highlighting opportunities.
• Deliver training sessions and manage seller enquiries via Zendesk.
• Produce regular reports on onboarding success and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Strong interest in e‑commerce, marketplaces or digital retail.
• Excellent communication with a customer‑first mindset.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Problem‑solver who enjoys helping others.
• Collaborative team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel, including formulas and reporting.
• Experience using Zendesk or similar ticketing systems.
