Materials Planner – FMCG Supply Chain

About the role

A leading FMCG manufacturer is looking for a proactive, commercially‑minded Materials Planner to join its high‑performing supply‑chain team. The role ensures raw materials and packaging are available on time to support production plans while maintaining optimal stock levels and minimising waste.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material requirements to support production schedules and customer demand.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure continuity of supply.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, lead times and supply issues.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters and material master data within the ERP system.
• Identify and mitigate potential stock shortages and excess inventory risks.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Warehousing and Customer Service teams.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives across the supply‑chain function.
• Analyse inventory performance and recommend actions to improve availability and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, retail, consumer goods or a similar supply‑chain environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, M3 or JDE.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
